Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do the courses and coaching sessions take place?
It depends. The Me + Mini Me and Nesting courses take place either at location or online via Zoom if desired. For a personal coaching session, we would meet either at location, online via Zoom or at your place. During the discovery call we agree on what works best for your situation.
  • What can I expect from a discovery call?
In our discovery call, we’ll take a moment to get to know each other. You’ll have space to briefly share your situation, and I’ll introduce how I work and what you can expect from the support I offer. This is a no-pressure conversation—your time to share any hesitations, and get a feel for whether working together feels like the right fit. The call usually takes around 15 minutes and can also help you better understand the different services offered at Family in Bloom.
  • How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is a forward-focused, resource- and solution-oriented process. It helps you reflect on your current situation and gently guides you toward your personal goals—while considering your family as a whole system, including the needs of all its members. Unlike therapy, coaching doesn’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, it’s ideal for support in everyday life: navigating stress, finding clarity in your parenting role, and feeling more grounded and empowered. Mindset coaching is also part of my work. Together, we uncover limiting beliefs and strengthen your self-trust, so you can parent more authentically—guided by your values instead of external expectations.
  • Who can sign up for coaching?
Anyone who plays a role in your family’s life is welcome! Coaching sessions can be attended by individual parents, both partners, or even extended family members like grandparents. You can book single or multiple sessions—alone or together, in any combination that feels right for your situation. The format is flexible and tailored to what best supports your family’s needs.
  • My baby is just born - does it make sense to already start coaching?
Absolutely. The first year with your baby is full of changes, emotions, and new experiences. Early support can help you feel more grounded and confident as you navigate these common developmental stages.
  • Is coaching only for when something is "wrong"?
Absolutely not. Coaching is also about prevention, reflection, and empowerment. You don’t need to wait for a crisis—many parents come to coaching to prepare for upcoming changes, explore their role, or simply get support for mindful, connected parenting.
  • What kind of topics can I bring?
Anything that’s on your mind—no worry is too small. Typical topics include baby sleep, crying and regulation, feeding (breast or bottle), starting solids, emotional overload, identity shifts, relationships, and the challenges of daily life with a baby with or without siblings. We also work on mindset, self-care, and finding balance in this new phase.
  • Can I combine coaching other offers (e.g., Nesting course or Baby group courses)?
Yes, absolutely. Coaching complements all other formats and can be tailored to deepen or follow up on what you’ve explored in other settings. It’s your space, and you can shape it to fit your journey.
  • When can I sign up for the Nesting Course?
Anytime during pregnancy! The Nesting Sessions help you prepare for the early days with your baby—covering topics like feeding (breast or bottle), understanding baby cues, and building confidence in your new role. It's all about feeling empowered to take the lead from the very beginning.
  • What language are the sessions available in?
All sessions and courses are available in English and German. Coaching sessions are also possible in Dutch.
